Finally, what have we been up to!!!

Yes, I hear you. The complaints. The groans. The whatsits? I will TRY to get this updated every weekend. I am TRYING to finish the book! The demand is so very large and I will get it done.

We have been very, very busy with this little one.

Healthwise - still perfect. No sickness, infection, or weird discharge of any kind. When you keep the child quarantined, that is supposed to be the result.

Kidney - still got one!

Eyes - beautiful blue. She noticed a light on the wall from one of her toys in the daylight. Surprised me very much.

Growth chart - still not on it. I wrote that we were, but we are not. BUT...

Vitals - 12 pounds; 26.2 inches LONG (grown out of 3 month clothes only in length, could still wear newborn if you cut the feet out!)

Milestones - LOVES to now STAND. She is not very good at it, but loves it. Check out the new pictures of her tall, lanky self in her new jumparoo and DJ station!!

Family - We are all very much ok. I am trying to work very hard to keep up this current pace of formula. Sometimes she takes in as much as 6 ozs in a feeding, (remember when cc’s made us happy?)
Mom is making sure we are still on the every 3 hours feeding schedule. 8AM, 11, 2, 5, 8 PM then down for the night to wake up once for one more feeding about 2-3.

We actually took her out once to a suit store. Not many people, we kept her stroller closed, but she enjoyed it and she did very well.

We visited the NICU again and all her old nurses and doctors were so proud of her!! She giggled and cooed and acted so good with all of them. She really had a good time with them. They carried her all around the hospital and showed her off.

Then they said, “This is what makes our job worth it.” I can’t tell you how good that makes you feel, and I swear, whenever you see a nurse, you tell her Thank you for her work. These people go through the good times and the bad. Luckily, we are one of those brighter moments, and I promise that we will constantly shine a light on these people, without them. I would not be writing this thing at all, at least not in this tone.

As I am writing, she has just eaten and is in here crib, holding very well her spinball, stuffed rabbit, stuffed something else, watching her mobile, listening to music and constantly TALKING.

If you are not giving her attention, she is talking. Not crying, but just trying to let the world know, I have to catch up. I was not able to talk for so long and now I am going to do it!!!

She likes to watch TV, cartoons while sitting in her bouncy.

The ONLY negative is she fights sleep ALL DAY!!! She would rather take a 3-minute nap, and then fight the rest of them. She gets VERY cranky when she fights sleep. I tell her, look, this is one time in your life, that, when you are tired, you just go to sleep. You are not in charge, go ahead!!!
She does not listen. SO I will at least say something at regular intervals. Go check out all the pictures. It is the milestones that I will tell you about mostly, the regular stuff in the middle is pretty boring kid stuff.
